Arts and Education Scholarship

Due to a lack of donations and the utilising of all previous funding received, this fund has now been closed. The NEC thank those who donated previously and made it possible for so many members to undertake courses. Your generosity was appreciated by many.

The scholarship was set up in May 2000 with $15,000 made up of funds from the general account and the old International Resource Scheme. Donations from members are accepted throughout the year and interest is accrued. The criteria for receiving the scholarship was reviewed in 2005.

  • Each year up to $3,000 of the fund may be awarded in scholarships.

  • It is open to WI members who are embarking on any type of course to further themselves or their interests. The year runs from September to September and there is no closing date, as formal and informal courses run on different dates throughout the year

  • The decision as to who receives the scholarship is made by the Arts & Education Scholarship Committee including the National President.
