The Barbara Wood Memorial Foundation Second Chance Award in 2009
This was awarded to Jackie Pako.
Jackie is doing a Diploma in Rarangi (weaving) at NorthTec. She runs local groups (primary school through to adult classes) to share her knowledge of weaving. A solo parent with three children, she hopes to have a teaching position at the almost completed marae when she completes her course.
